SSE Weekly Colloquium | 理工学院系列研讨会邀请
The School of Science and Engineering (SSE) is committed to creating a platform for students and faculty members to exchange ideas and explore cutting-edge research developments in various fields of science and engineering. Starting from 2021 fall, SSE will organize the "Weekly Colloquium" series of seminars every Friday. Each week, SSE will invite our faculty members and distinguished guest speakers from outside the University to conduct academic seminars.
All students and faculty members are invited to join the weekly colloquium!

Abstract
Extreme events (e.g., natural disasters and large-scale power outages) are increasingly challenging the secure and reliable operation of energy systems. Effectively utilizing flexibility resources and enhancing system resilience become important tasks of power grids, especially for achieving the dual carbon targets. In this talk, the analysis, modelling, scheduling and optimization of flexibility from the source-side (e.g., transportable power sources), network-side (e.g., system topology), load-side (e.g., building heating, ventilation and air conditioning systems) and storage-side (e.g., mobile energy storage systems) will be introduced. Potential research directions regarding power and energy system resilience will also be discussed.
